Do I need to know how to knit or crochet already?
No, we'll teach you everything you need to know.
Do I need to buy my own yarn?
If you are making an item to donate then we will provide all the supplies necessary. If you are making an item for yourself or for a gift, then you need to buy that yourself.
What are the requirement to join?
Anyone (boys or girls) who knows how to knit or crochet or is willing to learn can join. You must attend at least one meeting per month and turn in at least one 60sq" knitted block per month.
How do I earn the community service hours?
You earn one minute of commuknitty service for every squre inch that you knit or crochet. So if you make a scarf to donate, we calculate the surface area of your scarf. You can knit anywhere and earn commuknitty service.
When are the meetings?
We meet Tuesday's at lunch and/or after school in room H4. Please come!
